The Murray Hong Kong, A Niccolo Hotel
Foster + Partners revamps a landmark
After a lengthy gestation period, the much-anticipated Murray has arrived on Cotton Tree Drive. Taking residence in noted ex-government premises, close to the city’s main attractions, Niccolo Hotels’ debut pad maintains the sustainable blueprint of its forebears. Its 336 suites and rooms are tucked inside a grid-patterned façade spruced up by Foster + Partners, and all boast an aura of dignified chic; deeply recessed windows adhere to the energy-saving mantra. Gastronomy connoisseurs should feel right at home too in any of the five eateries, ranging from modern-European to Cantonese cuisine. With a vitality pool, bespoke treatments at the spa, in-room wellness guides and a 24-hour gym to boot, the Murray delivers on its early promise.
