Waldorf Astoria Park City
Après ski rarely hits such luxurious heights than at this gorgeously glam retreat

One of the very few ski towns where there's plenty to occupy even those who aren’t taking to the slopes, the Waldorf Astoria here is an effortlessly opulent space replete with crystal chandeliers, staircases sweeping enough to suit Lauren Bacall on Oscar night and, just so you don’t forget you’re in frontier ski country, mounted stag heads on the walls. Situated at the base of the Canyons resort, the 174 rooms here boast panoramic views of the crenelated peaks and boast gargantuan fireplaces. Plus there's the option of taking a seriously sybaritic respite from the piste with an afternoon in the 16,000 square foot Golden Door spa. The 400 plus wine list at the Slopes in-house restaurant also might just make leaving the sumptuous splendour of this superior bolt hole come tomorrow morning for a stab at a black run just that little bit more of a challenge…
