The renowned restaurant, originally opened in London, alit in Abu Dhabi in the summer of 2010 to great fanfare. Spread across 1,486 square metres on the Corniche’s chic Emirates Palace, its interiors, conceived by feted firm Gilles & Boissier, feature modern, ethnic elements like embroidered furniture as well as marbled Chinese forms, make for an intriguing mise en scène. The brand’s signature dishes – like Peking duck with caviar or grilled wagyu beef with king soy sauce – join locally inflected dishes dreamt up by head chef Lee Kok Hua.
