Four Seasons Hotel Toronto
This is the city where the Four Seasons began; and the standards are higher than ever at their ‘home’ hotel
As the flagship branch of the global Four Seasons chain, one would expect a little extra beyond what the group have achieved elsewhere in their huge portfolio. And this brand new home for the chain, opened in 2012, is a real eyebrow raiser. Soaring ceilings, carved wood, pewter and stone dominate the lobby and rooms are reassuringly plush and comforting complete with Ipad, espresso machine and, unusually for a new 55 storey hotel, windows that open. The spa is the largest in the city with 17 treatment rooms and just wandering the corridors alone is an education; the hotel has over 1,700 piece of original art on show, almost all commissioned by Canadian artists.
