Katamama
Artisanal beach-side boutique

Effusively Indonesian, Katamama boasts handcrafted everything in its design and build, from the 1.5 million red bricks – handmade from paras to traditional methods – to the indigo dye that streaks throughout in furnishings, fabrics, artworks and uniforms. Elegant rooms and suites, some with rooftop Indian Ocean views, exemplify the hotel’s hip, natural-chicness. And to complete the picture, audiophile-pleasing sound systems are available to guests on request along with the Akademi “centre of mixology” in the lobby.
