Tintswalo Atlantic
An ethereal oceanside boutique hotel in Hout Bay
Though it’s a bit out of the way in the seaside suburb of Hout Bay, Tintswalo Atlantic has always boasted the best perch of any hotel in Cape Town: its 12 standalone cottages hug a cliff just above the water, and are prime real estate for magical sunsets. A series of devastating wildfires in early 2015 destroyed the property, but the team has rallied and fully rebuilt in time for a November reopening. One of Cape Town’s most beloved hotels has truly risen from the ashes and is ready to reclaim its glory.
