Eneko Basque Kitchen & Bar
Contemporary regional dining in Covent Garden
Presenting artfully arranged dishes that convey the best authentic ingredients, Michelin chef Eneko Atxa’s eponymous eatery brings a playful journey through the Basque Country to London’s One Aldwych hotel. The theatre menu features braised pork cheeks with mushroom emulsion or the trigo of wheat pasta, red-pepper sauce and egg yolk. The recently introduced pintxos menu is flush with Basque nibbles including Iberico ham on crystal bread and oxtail on milk bread with Idiazabal cheese, while the meat and fish options, prepared on a Josper charcoal grill, are safe bets. The mezzanine wine bar, high above diners, pours an all-Spanish list, including bottles from Eneko’s own vineyards.
