Situated next to the hotel’s grand salon, the bar at the Baccarat is anything but an afterthought. The eponymous crystalware is everywhere – including in three enormous chandeliers – and the inspiration comes from either side of the Atlantic – the classical American long bar combined with the glamorous French ballrooms and even the royal stables of Versailles. An enviable wine list and the good selection of cocktails and rare spirits – served of course in Baccarat glasses – add to the occasion.
