Vatuvara
A tropical retreat that hits all the right notes
Inspired by the pristine Wakaya Island, Oakley founder James Jannard has built Vatuvara, his own version of the perfect Pacific island retreat on the 324 ha of Kaibu in Fiji’s Northern Lau group. Guests arrive on the island by way of the resort’s Twin Otter, and reach the three villas in the hills via winding roads. What awaits there is a welcoming staff, sumptuous accommodation, plus food garnered from the bounteous sea and the resort’s own organic garden.
