The Landing Residences
Serene enclave amid the Bay of Islands
A sprawling pile in New Zealand’s subtropical northeast, the four privately-owned (but available to hire) residences of The Landing posit unmatched quietude. Surrounded by thousands of acres of rolling hills, wildlife sanctuaries and untouched beaches these four homes offer their own differing charm; carved from the hillside, plopped beside the property’s vineyard, converted from the traditional boathouse and cresting a hill overlooking it all – each a Pip Cheshire-designed space united in their modernity. Personal chefs prepare dishes from the regions producers, paired to Syrah, Chardonnay and rosé produced onsite under The Landing’s own wine label, while big game fishing, water sports, hiking and other countryside pursuits abound.
