Opricot, Mustique
Tranquil villa on a party island

Moneyed and famous, Mustique has some eighty villas for rent – and they come in all manner of styles from overblown pseudo-classical to vintage Oliver Messel. Opricot is the safe bet, an easy-to-love, four-bedroom, minimalist white heaven designed by Italian architect Paolo Piva. Its spaces are serene and airy, there's a panoramic terrace set above the trees and an inviting 18m pebble-dotted infinity pool. Amenities include a chef, a butler and a Kawasaki "mule" for travelling to the beach, bars and shops.
