Le Sereno, St Barths
The legendary Caribbean retreat is fresh off an elegant makeover
Caribbean’s answer to St Tropez in its jet-set heyday, this high-glam retreat is fresh off a makeover following 2017’s Hurricane Irma, and it has returned more elegant (and sustainable) than ever.
Sitting on the St Barths Grand Cul de Sac, Le Sereno has attracted chichi beach-going travellers since its opening in the 1970s, and its latest rendition doesn’t break tradition when it comes to splendour. There’s also a fresh trio of pool-front bungalows, each with private landscaped gardens, Christian Liaigre-designed furniture and intricate oak ceilings. Eco-friendly upgrades throughout property include the introduction of solar energy and LED lighting.

Further enhancements include an all-new beachfront restaurant with a sensational view of the sea. The property’s award-winning spa now overlooks a serene garden and features a zen spot for waterfront yoga.
