Victoria House
Colonial stylings close to Belizean natural wonders
There are various accommodation options at the tropical Victoria House, a 42-key idyll that sits close to Ambergris Caye’s multitude of fine white beaches and forests of palms. Many of these colonial-styled dwellings are targeted at couples: see the thatched-roof villas or the series of regal staterooms – the latter complete with wood furnishings and extravagant queen beds.
The hotel takes full advantage of its proximity to the Belizean wildlife and natural-world wonders. Its staff help with tours to the nearby Mayan temples, fishing and caving trips, or an adventure to the area’s crown jewel: the UNESCO-listed Belize Barrier Reef. But there are great relaxation alternatives on site too. Victoria House’s 325-square metre spa – redeveloped late last year – is centred by a beautiful cupola and offers 36 different treatments.
