Shangri-La's Sanya Resort & Spa
Beachside bliss with an in-house water park

This brand’s family-oriented resort sits on quiet Haitang Bay surrounded by tropical greenery and a deep blue lagoon. Its 340 elegantly appointed guest rooms and eight villas, each with private pools and sundecks, are contemporary and traditional at once, while a duo of in-house restaurants experiment with Southeast Asian and Polynesian cooking. The ocean here is a bit rough for swimming, but the hotel makes up for it with a mini water park, lap and regular pools as well as free activities that include kite-flying, outdoor film screenings, hula, tennis, soccer, volleyball and outdoor table tennis.
