Clärchens Ballhaus
Classic Berlin dancehall venue and restaurant in Mitte

In Berlin Mitte’s Gallery District, the classic dancehall and ballroom Clärchens has been open since 1913. Almost every day the venue hosts dance classes in its silver tinsel and disco ball-adorned ballrooms, from tango to salsa, foxtrot and waltz to hot jazz and swing. Once a month, the venue’s Gypsy Restaurant entertains with evenings of gypsy swing and Russian song alongside a menu of ‘ballroom cuisine’. Upstairs, the Spiegelsaal still reflects a 1920s aesthetic, with big chandeliers and mirrors setting the scene for concerts and festivities.
