Art in the park



Built to honour Californian soldiers lost in WWI, this Beaux Arts building overlooking Lincoln Park and the Golden Gate Bridge currently serves as an art museum filled with ancient and European art spanning 4,000 years. Highlights within the institution’s impressive collection include Auguste Rodin’s iconic The Thinker as well as paintings by the likes of Monet, Rubens and El Greco, among others. Also on view, the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts’ compelling selection of prints, drawings and artists books dating back to the 15th century.
