Istanbul Modern
Contemporary art in a fitting setting

Increasingly gaining status as a pioneering art centre, Istanbul Modern lies on an 8,000sq m site former Naval warehouse on the shores of the Bosphorus. Opened in 2004 as the first private museum in the city, it has a sizable collection of contemporary art and prides itself on raising the profile of Turkish artists around the world. As well as taking in culture, guests can also relax in the museum café, with a place on the terrace a desirable spot in the sun.
