Oenophiles are spoilt for choice at this subterranean bar on the pedestrian-only Yerba Buena Lane. Its bread and butter? An ever-rotating selection of California wines (one new artisanal vintner is featured each month) alongside an expertly curated assortment of European vintages. The food menu – a close second – comprises a crowd-pleasing assemblage of international dishes like mushroom pizzetta, salmon gravlax salad and ahi tuna tartare, all enjoyed within the establishment’s stylish, oak-accented interiors.
