The Arts Club
Mayfair club for lovers of fine art, drinks and cigars
Just as exclusive now as when it was founded in 1863 by Charles Dickens and co., London’s Arts Club numbers among the city’s favourite places to see and be seen – but not one of the easiest in which to do so. Reopened in 2011 after a complete overhaul, the Mayfair members’ club has shifted its focus slightly from the intentions of its founders. Still aimed at those interested in the arts, it now also caters to those interested in fine dining, fine cigars, fine drinks and, with its nightclub, those interested in a good night out. The club’s three upper floors have been transformed into a luxury hotel, the most spacious clocking in at 100 square metres, sumptuously decorated in early 20th-century style.
