Tokyo Whisky Library
Encyclopaedic libations near Omotesando
Combining a generous array of whisky with music to create what the bar claims is a place with serendipity, one could be forgiven for agreeing with them, given the Tokyo Whisky Library’s unassuming location within the vine-covered Santa Chiara Church off Aoyama-Dori. Award-winning mixologist Michito Kaneko whips up alternative libations for those who wish for them, and an eclectic menu ranging from smokehouse bites to charcuterie and desserts (including an eye-catching Maccallan Cranachan) provide a toothsome draw, but the main show is absolutely the selection of over 1000 international bottles of firewater – giving credence to the bar’s name.
