Kubu Beach Club at Ayana Resort and Spa
Secluded waterside drinking and dining – rekindling a bygone Balinese age
A dramatic descent down 197 steps leads to an exclusive area of limestone cliffs and a cove of white sands, transporting visitors to a former Balinese era. This is Kubu Beach Club, a new addition to the already sumptuous Ayana Resort and Spa at Jimbaran Bay on the Indonesian island. Guests of three Ayana accommodations can feast on local and international plates, such as bakso balung oxtail beef meatball soup or charcoal bun cheeseburgers. Or there’s the opportunity to indulge in a coconut-oil massage while sucking on a Tiki or Arak cocktail – all served up around island-based features such as bamboo, shell and wood, proving the refined and site-specific atmosphere of this golden cocoon.
