A Superyacht Set on Refining Modern Elegance
A first look at the newly launched Amels 200 from Damen Yachting

It’s been an exciting start to 2021 for the Dutch naval architects at Damen Yachting, as the first 60m Limited Edition Amels 200 superyacht has just set sail on her inaugural expedition off the coast of the Netherlands. The vessel, designed with a magnificent, athletic exterior by Tim Heywood, is most easily marked by its fluid lines, flying buttresses, winding surfaces and upturned deck ends, as well as a sculptural mast and an intricate stern that beam with a timeless quality. Inside, the boat exudes a similar pedigree of elegance, thanks to the masterwork by designer Reymond Langton, as enlarged windows illuminate the yacht with natural light, while large aft decks, a swim platform and carefully curated sunlit Owners Suite add to a sense of style. Accommodating up to 12 guests and 13 crew, the Amels 200 is powered by hybrid electrical power technology – making the superyacht a modern classic.
