Nearly 30 years after the debut of the first generation 8 Series at the Frankfurt Motor Show, The 8 is reborn. Developed in parallel with the iconic BMW M8 GTE World Endurance Championship race car, heritage shines through from every angle.
 
Both powerful and beautiful in equal measure, this machine moves with grace and precision. The large kidney grille widens as it descends, emphasising the vehicle’s low centre of gravity, whilst the slimmest BMW LED headlights to date accentuate its forward-facing character. The flowing roofline brings sportiness to the flanks, and the double-bubble roof, also available in carbon fibre, pays homage to the racing soul of The 8.
 
Under the hood lies thousands of hours of craftsmanship: a BMW TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder engine. Boasting the ultra-responsive Integral Active Steering, and the BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system, it all translates into a feeling of total control and supreme agility.

 
Inside, The 8 takes luxury to a whole new level. From the M leather steering wheel, the Merino leather-upholstered sports seats, to the hand-crafted glass gear selector and volume controls – every single detail has been considered, and then considered again.
 
What’s more, the acoustics of The 8 are so finely tuned that the cabin structure itself acts as an amplifier for the 16 harman/kardon speakers and the awe-inspiring V8 engine in the range-topping BMW M850i.
 
The end result is an uplifting haptic and audiovisual experience for the driver – a sensory alignment without precedent, a rush of blood to the heart.
