Santesteban
Perennial style dealing in hand-crafted shoes and leather bags
Verónica Santesteban trained under artist Carlos Gorriarena, and counts Matisse and Lucien Freud as inspirations. She launched the eponymous brand in 1999 and her ‘fetish pieces’ became instant hits. By encrusting pumps with crystals sourced from antique fairs, she creates bespoke footwear. Lace, silk and semi-precious stones also make the cut when it comes to fashioning unique handcraft purses and footwear. And, like art, each becomes a collector’s item.
