Arguably one of the fanciest hotels on the crowded Collins Avenue strip, this Asian-inspired paradise set the bar high for impeccable service and pricey amenities when it opened in 2004. The temple-like space still impresses with a lobby tiled in Chinese bricks, a regal courtyard and two on-site restaurants, one of which boasts an open kitchen employing 12 chefs cooking simultaneously. The rooms are large and slickly furnished and the three ocean-front pools are all set to different temperatures.
