Sheldon Chalet
Kick back and embrace the untouched wilds
Perseverance pays off after the circuitous journey to this lodge planted in the rocky peaks of Denali National Park in Alaska. Available for up to 10 guests, Sheldon enjoys a unique setting with unbroken views of the trackless snowy wilderness and – if the timing is right – glimpses of the pyrotechnic aurora borealis. A feast of Alaskan seafood from chef Dave Thorne awaits on arrival – that's by helicopter from Talkeetna, after the long-haul from elsewhere – and then afterwards the scene is set for a timely warm in the sauna. Beyond the walls, the chalet’s owners offer glacier treks into the Don Sheldon Amphitheater and crevasse exploration, among a catalogue of adventures.
