A building that has gone from medieval convent to royal lodgings to Dutch Admiralty headquarters – even serving as city hall for a while – is bound to be a grand affair. Indeed, the imposing structure with its spacious courtyard doesn't disappoint. Neither do the 52 suites with personal butler service. The Michelin-starred Bridges restaurant is only one of many wining and dining options within the hotel, but certainly one of the finest in Amsterdam.
