Since the Hoxton came to Amsterdam (from Shoreditch, via Holborn), it's been to go-to hotel for those who want to get down with the locals. The Hoxton series of events bring the action right to their doorstep. Lodgings range from shoebox to roomy, but all come with so-called “perks”: free water, Wi-Fi, one hour of global phone calls and a daily breakfast bag are all included in the price – as is that elusive cool factor.
