Tasty heritage, carefully modernised


Granted, Hotel Sacher owes much of its fame to the eponymous cake served in its convivial cafe, but the entire establishment continues to uphold the high standard expected by locals and international visitors alike. Founded in 1876 by Eduard Sacher, whose father had invented the Sachertorte, it has changed hands several times and undergone numerous refurbishments. The most recent upgrade brought its in-room technology up to date without sacrificing its essential old-world charm.
