Aman Nai Lert Bangkok: A Living Legacy
An oasis of heritage, nature and tranquillity in the Thai capital
Almost four decades since its inception, Aman marked a momentous homecoming in April 2025, returning to its original home of Thailand with the opening of a new Bangkok hotel. The brand’s first retreat, Amanpuri, was founded in 1988 on the shores of Phuket, and still stands today as the first “place of peace”. It is now accompanied by an urban addition in the burgeoning Thai capital: Aman Nai Lert Bangkok.
Finding home in the lush oasis of a privately owned park in the heart of the city, the 52-suite hotel and 34 Aman-branded residences designed by Jean-Michel Gathy tell a story of family history, seamlessly intertwined with the brand’s DNA of peace, privacy and exclusivity. The site was originally acquired by visionary entrepreneur Lert Sreshthaputra (Nai Lert) in 1915 to build his home and later opened as Thailand’s first public park. It now serves as an urban sanctuary, weaving together rich cultural heritage and Aman hospitality, both of which flow effortlessly through its design, wellness offering and culinary scene.

A transformative retreat immersed in the serenity of its setting, the hotel’s 1,500sq m Aman Spa & Wellness centre spans over two floors. Here, the ultimate expression of Aman’s wellness philosophy unfolds, complemented by Thai treatments exclusive to the property; innovative Medical Wellness by Hertitude Clinic, including IV therapies and advance screenings; and a signature Banya Spa House – the first of its kind in the city – designed for full- or half-day private spa experiences.
With seven distinct culinary concepts and several customisable private dining spaces, Aman Nai Lert Bangkok has also established itself as a beacon in the city’s burgeoning gastronomy scene. From intimate omakase at Sesui and teppanyaki at Hiori to Italian at Arva and the atmospheric Aman Lounge, punctuated by a towering, century-old Sompong tree, diners are transported away from the pace of the city and engulfed in the park’s green seclusion, where each experience showcases culinary artistry at its finest.

A place to press pause on the bustle of urban life and reconnect with those who mean the most, the hotel’s anticipated first festive season will see celebrations spanning traditional almsgiving and guided city tours at dawn to a symbolic New Year party with lantern-lighting rituals in homage to Thai heritage. Themed workshops unleash the season’s creative spirit with younger guests invited to craft special greeting cards from the park’s fallen leaves, while adults mix festive botanicals into fine cocktails.
Looking ahead to 2026, the hotel will continue to welcome guests to experience a haven of calm in one of the world’s most dynamic cities, further strengthening its place within the living legacies of both the pioneering Aman brand and the legendary Nai Lert.
