Restaurant De Kas
Green food in leafy surrounds

Feeling green? Then head out to this locavore's dream come true, east of Amsterdam's city centre. Located in a former municipal nursery glasshouse, dating back to 1926, it welcomes guests amid the foliage of the surrounding park, as well as the neighbouring herb and vegetable gardens. The menu changes constantly, according to the homegrown produce available on the day. The impressive chef's table helps convey the farm-to-table, or rather greenhouse-to-greenhouse, philosophy.
