A feast for the eyes in a glass high-rise

The daringly modern dining space within Vienna's Sofitel wins points simply for its spectacular location. On the 18th floor of the glass high-rise, it offers jaw-dropping views from floor-to-ceiling windows. But it's worth looking the other way, too. The dining room decor is minimalist and reserved, except for the riot of colour exploding across the ceiling, in the shape of a nature-inspired video installation by Pipilotti Rist. The food has equally lofty ambitions, but will have to work hard to keep diners' attentions.
