A New Era of Indulgence

A beguiling blend of bespoke design and nautical innovation, Orient Express Corinthian heralds a new age of old-world glamour

Sponsored by

Next summer, after years of painstaking development, Orient Express will debut what is perhaps the brand’s most ambitious project yet: the largest sailing yacht in the world.

Yet to describe Orient Express Corinthian in such concise terms is to almost undersell her. It’s true that she’s sizeable, at 220 metres in length, and she has sails – three, in fact, spanning a total of 4,500 square metres. But these are no ordinary sails attached to an ordinary yacht: each 1,500sq m sail is rigid, composed of proprietary carbon-fibre-reinforced glass panels patented by Chantiers de l’Atlantique, the pioneering French shipyard who engineered every inch of this unique vessel. The sails, affixed to three 69m-tall masts capable of rotating and tilting at a 70-degree angle for optimal agility, are complemented by a revolutionary hybrid propulsion system fuelled by liquefied natural gas (LNG). Together, these innovations make Orient Express Corinthian not only the world’s largest sailing yacht, but also one of its most sustainable.

The same magnitude of vision and ambition have been brought to bear the interiors of the ship. Architect Maxime d’Angeac, Artistic Director of Orient Express, oversaw the design of a vessel whose every detail is a study in fine French craftsmanship and exquisite taste, from the airy raised ceilings to the bespoke furnishings and curated art collections. In the 54 suites, which range from 45 to 230 square meters in size, the sense of elegance and volume is eclipsed only by the feeling of connection to the sea. Generously proportioned windows – the smallest measure four metres wide – invite the guest to marvel at the vastness of the ocean as they luxuriate in the grandeur of their accommodations.

Elsewhere on board, Orient Express Corinthian reveals further indulgences. Five distinctive restaurants and private dining spaces, for instance, serve elevated cuisine under the direction of Michelin-anointed Executive Chef Yannick Alléno, including fresh seafood creations with ocean views at L’Ecrin and inspired fine dining in a sleek Art Deco venue at La Terrasse. To work up an appetite, guests can take a dip in the 16m lap pool that extends under the ship’s dramatic mast, or in the infinity pool that seems to pour right into the sea. At anchor, La Marina becomes the place to be, with its ocean access, water toys and sumptuous spaces for relaxation – though true tranquillity is best sought in the expansive 465sq m spa equipped with treatment rooms and a tepidarium.

Repose, recreation, entertainment, connection – whatever guests seek, it can be found aboard Orient Express Corinthian. Quiet corners, such as the game room or 1,500-book library lounge, invite reflection or conversation, while the cinema, concert hall and cabaret theatre offer opportunities for more lively diversions. At every turn, personal, thoughtful service awaits – a promise easily kept aboard a ship that hosts no more than 110 guests.

Orient Express Corinthian is set to premiere in June 2026, sailing the Mediterranean’s most storied coastlines, from Provence to Amalfi, Venice and Croatia, before wintering among the crystalline waters and bone-white beaches of the Caribbean from October 2026 to March 2027. Whether in the Mediterranean or under tropical skies, each stop harbours a singular experience: Gala dinner in Venice. Guided explorations of untouched island sanctuaries. A starlit gala at Orchid Bay. An island life day in Canouan. A lunch in the Caribbean forests, infused with Creole spice and savoir-faire.

This is an odyssey, where every moment aboard or on shore is designed to be unforgettable, and where an all-inclusive philosophy ensures a seamless balance of indulgence, enlightenment and reconnection.
