The Aquanaut Advances
Patek Philippe’s latest iterations of its sporty watch for men ticks all the boxes
As befits Patek Philippe’s most dynamic range, the Aquanaut has undergone a refresh for 2021. The Aquanaut Chronograph Reference 5968G is a rejuvenated rendition of the fleet’s 2018 chronograph and includes two new versions in white gold (for the first time) paired with either a midnight blue or khaki green colour scheme. The key aesthetic feature of the timepieces is the integration of the chronograph into the classic Aquanaut design, which owes much to the satin-brushed surfaces on the case, bezel and pushers. Both dials feature the stamped Aquanaut grid pattern with gold hands and applied Arabic numeral hour markers and, under the bonnet, is Patek’s 4Hz CH28-520 C automatic flyback chronograph movement.
