1. Iconic double kidney grille

The first impression of The 8 is one to remember: the iconic double kidney grille, a signature feature of Bayerische Motoren Werke which has been exclusively redesigned for this car. When viewed from the side, distinctive lines emphasise the interplay of depth created as air is expelled through the Air Breather, whilst the additional front spoiler keeps lift to a minimum in the front axle. Simply breathtaking.

2. Rear view

When a car can glide from 0 to 62 mph in only 3.7 seconds, the rear stance becomes all the more meaningful. After all, it’s what most will be left staring at as The 8 disappears from view. The two sets of exhaust pipes are framed by trapezoidal forms, whilst the full LED sculpted taillights embrace the flanks and reinforce the seamless unity of the car – so the last impression is always a lasting one.

3. 'Four eye' display

The 8 exhibits heritage with the classic ‘four eye’ display, and innovation with the slimmest LED headlights of any BMW to date. The flat indicators grant unmistakable expressivity and character, and if the eyes are the window to the soul, the blue accents within the headlights are a perpetual reminder of the sporty nature of this machine.

4. Wheels

This luxury sports car boasts exclusive 20" alloy wheels with high-performance tyres, M Sport brakes and M Side Gills. But if it’s what’s inside that counts, then count on the Adaptive M Suspension, the Integral Active Steering system and the BMW TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder engine for an unforgettable driving experience in the range-topping M850i.

5. Progressive technology

With The 8 comes not only a thirst for sportiness and luxury, but also a fervent hunger for the most progressive technology. Thanks to ID7, the latest generation of the iDrive system, and BMW ConnectedDrive, you can customise the content and information displayed in the high resolution 10.25” touchscreen information display and fully digital 12.3” instrument cluster.

From ‘CraftedClarity’ glass applications in splendid crystal glass, to stainless-steel surfaces, Merino leather upholstered sports seats and sophisticated interior lighting – in The 8, every little detail has been carefully devised to create a unique and luxurious ambience.

In a clear nod to its race car heritage, the M leather steering wheel comes with gear shift paddles for manual gear changing, whilst the BMW Live Cockpit ensures a deeply focused drive, so the road, the driver and The 8 come together as one.
