The New Gold Standard of Clean
Hertz welcomes a 15-point sanitisation process to ensure your car is safe inside and out
Please check the latest government advice before booking travel and departing on any trip, as this may affect the travel insurance cover provided with your card account (if held).
There’s clean, and then there’s Hertz clean. The latest from the rental car giant who are ushering in what they deem to be the new gold standard of sanitisation in each of their cars.
Dubbed the “Hertz Gold Standard Clean”, the brand is introducing a stringent 15-point guideline designed to ensure maximum safety and sanitisation for all travellers. In accordance with WHO guidelines, Hertz disinfects each vehicle using only government authorised and registered virucidal cleaners that adhere to each country’s specific regulations. The enhanced process requires everything from interior inspections, vacuuming and trash removal to disinfecting all contact surfaces, eliminating odours and performing strict quality checks before sealing the vehicle with a “Gold Standard” sticker – letting drivers know just how safe their rental car is.
The signed, sealed and certified approach isn’t just confined to the automobiles either. Every Hertz location has embraced the enhanced cleaning methods – be it in a Hertz shuttle bus or kiosk. Also, thanks to advanced digital technologies, the company has found a way to offer completely touchless rental solutions, where renters can skip the counter and go straight to their car – all via facial recognition. Truly a faster, easier and, more importantly, safer means of transportation.
