Classy accommodation with art at its heart

This bijou 21-room residence tries to be different and certainly succeeds. The accommodation is split in to different types: traditional Asian styles are on show in the nine Japanese rooms, with dark wood and Japanese furniture to the fore, while an east-meets-west style dominates in the brighter Tatami rooms. The rooftop terrace offers grand views of the city, the eighth floor is given over to a gallery with innovative exhibitions while oddest of all is the ground-floor dog-trimming salon.
