If there’s one thing this 1920s, speakeasy bar on Amoy Street does poorly, its taking itself seriously. The self-described “crappy bar” instead concentrates on showing its patrons a rollicking good time. While house, disco or techno music blares across the room from a small DJ stand, the affable staff, including founder Abhishek Cherian George, get guests boozed up on what they claim are “half-decent drinks”, which are, in fact, far from mediocre.
