Atix Hotel
Curated Bolivian lodgings, 3,500 metres above sea level
Be it the local Bolivian wood and Comanche stone cladding its facade, the furnishings produced by local artisans using regional materials or the artworks of Gastón Ugalde (the "Andy Warhol of the Andes") lining its corridors – the Atix Hotel posits a thoroughly modern Bolivia. Ideally located in the Calacoto neighbourhood – a buzzy hotspot of La Paz – this 53-key outpost carries this focused all-Bolivia concept through to its culinary offerings too, with the Ona restaurant plating a modern menu rich in Bolivian traditions and the Market proffering authentic organic Bolivian products such as coffee, bread and other gourmet delicacies.
