Palazzo Grassi
Minimalist exhibition space within a Neoclassical, canal-side gem

Acquired in 2005 by noted French businessman and art collector François Pinault, Palazzo Grassi houses a significant chunk of the entrepreneur’s collection of contemporary works, which display in rotation with prolific travelling exhibitions. The building’s Neoclassical architecture plays harmoniously with the interior renovations conceived by Tadao Ando, who carved out a minimal space for Pinault’s collection to spill out onto and shine.
