At home in Rome’s Flaminio quarter, the MAXXI surpasses the concept of an archi-museum, its complex geometry and curved walls creating intricate interiors for visitors to explore. A sequence of galleries flooded with natural light feature permanent art, architecture and photography exhibitions from the 20th century onwards – definitely worth a visit, if only to admire the beauty of this futuristic feat of architecture by architect Zaha Hadid.
