Speakeasy venue dressed to the nines
In this basement bar, the prolific Merivale hospitality group took the speakeasy concept and ran with it. From the covert side-alley entrance, vintage interiors and staff dressed in flawless flapper attire, right down to a prohibition-inspired drinks menu (served with a side of mixology history), nothing has been left to chance. This fastidious attention to detail could have resulted in an overdone designer venue, but thanks to friendly service, excellent cocktails, live jazz and a late license, the place is alive with authentic buzz.
