"The Most Insane Garage in the World" Comes to Asia: TheArsenale Flagship Store
In the heart of the glamorous Cotai district of Macau, TheArsenale, better known as “The Most Insane Garage in the World,” has a new home at the City of Dreams.
Joining the resort’s already premier experiences, including Michelin-starred dining, designer shopping, a 39,000 sq m casino and award-winning hotels like the Zaha Hadid-designed Morpheus, the new flagship store highlights all things motion-related. It features – and even sells – limited-edition vehicles (e.g. Formula 1 racers, jets and tanks) and niche manufacturers (e.g. Ujet, Geneinno, MV Agusta, Centauri and Viba) found almost nowhere else in the world.
Petrolheads, art lovers and discerning collectors will not only be treated to a dazzling array of extraordinary machines but also a prime selection of desirable artworks.
Among the most notable exhibitions will be the Centuari Valkyrie. Stunningly sleek and inspired by classic fighter jets, the Valkyrie is one of the most sought-after private planes on the planet. Able to carry three to four passengers and an ample amount of luggage (golf clubs and skis included), this jet provides an exceptionally large one-piece canopy along with unparalleled visibility to pilots and passengers alike while soaring at 463 kmph.
While flight-fanatics flock to the renowned jet, autophiles will swarm the almost-impossible-to-own Renault racer available at TheArsenale. The 1.6l turbocharged V6 Renault Sport R.S.18, developed by the French marque in association with Japanese firm Infiniti, is a one-of-a-kind and perhaps once-in-a-lifetime collector’s item.
Perhaps nothing, though, compares to arguably the most unexpected vehicle available, the Tank, built by L.A. firm Rezvani. Resembling a jet on wheels, this full bullet-proof, custom-made model promises an experience on land like no other. With only four to six made a year, it’s both a rare and a remarkable creation.
It’s these such creations that make this showroom – and now flagship store – so compelling. This hub is an exploration into the weird, wonderful, outrageous and eccentric modes of transportation (like a Roborace driverless racing vehicle) – by land, air, sea…and who knows what else – and the voyage begins in the City of Dreams.
