Into the Wild: Camp Sarika at Amangiri
Embark on exhilarating new adventures in Utah’s wilderness
Reconnect with nature at the exclusive Camp Sarika at Amangiri in Utah’s Canyon Country. Camp Sarika sits amid 900 acres of the majestic Colorado Plateau, an untouched natural landscape. Surrounded by one of the greatest concentrations of national parks in the USA, the property, composed of 10 elegant, tented pavilions, has introduced a series of curated adventures in peerless comfort. A springboard for discovery, the camp’s multi-day adventures make the most of every moment, combining a range of illuminating experiences for deeper discovery and connection with the wild. Central to these programmes is The Big Five Adventure, a dynamic, adventure-themed alternative to Africa's wildlife-focused Big Five.
As part of The Big Five Adventure, conquer the heights of a via ferrata, tracing mountain-laced cables and iron rungs over red-stained cliffs and gain insight into the area’s captivating geology. Navigate the waters of Lake Powell aboard an exclusive Axopar 37, spending the day swimming, paddleboarding, fishing, and exploring. Take on the wild terrain with a thrilling, self-drive UTV off-roading expedition into Utah’s rugged outback, and wonder at time’s masterpieces, hiking through the sculpted sandstone gorges of a trio of slot canyons, their sinuous walls more magical at every turn.
Back at camp, relaxation comes into focus with a swimming pool reflecting the vast desert sky, overlooked by the main pavilion, housing a restaurant with campfire terrace, and twin spa suites. By night, gather around blazing campfires for dining and storytelling. An unrivalled base for exhilarating expeditions, Camp Sarika is also a place of connection – with oneself, with one another and with nature. Here, a sense of belonging is ignited over rapt days, cradled by an ancient land far from the madding crowd.
