The vast range of works preserved as “the Atelier Brancusi” - from his Paris studio and now a part of Centre Pompidou’s collection – will be shown in New York starting this autumn. Featuring a number of pieces not seen on US soil in decades, the Romanian-born artist’s extensive body of work will join MoMA’s own Brancusi collection to form a comprehensive overview of his art. The exhibition will encompass not only his signature sculptures, but also photographs, films and archival records that together define Constantin Brancusi. From 25 October to 27 February 2027.

The only diamonds normally at Frieze Masters are on the guests, but De Beers has created a magical multimedia installation to explain the genesis of these gems. A vast wall-hanging made by Botswanan craftspeople from hand-dyed palm fibres and geometric shapes decorated with tiny beads made from ostrich eggs, plus a shadow-casting mobile of small objects adorned with rough diamonds, from tiny woven pots to polished local woods and clays, lead into a film space explaining a process that started 13 billion years ago, and into more darkness where rare fluorescent rough diamonds lit by ultraviolet light are the only glow. Until 18 October.

PAD London is the latest go-to fair for discovering the best of high-end, independent jewellery design. This year’s stars include subtle innovation and extraordinary gemstones from Munich-based Hemmerle; the history- and legend-inspired works of Elie Top; fluid, modern design from Brazilian Fernando Jorge and Lebanese designer Nada Ghazal; and striking mixes of diamonds and tortoiseshell by Greek designer Nikos Koulis, the latter two debutants. 15-18 October.

Patek Philippe has unveiled its largest and most ambitious exhibition to date. Set beneath a 30-metre-high dome and encompassing more than 2,900 square metres of Milan's CityOval, the WATCH ART Grand Exhibition (running until 18 October) brings together more than 500 timepieces and objects spanning the brand's entire current collection, as well as its museum treasures and historical archives. Highlights include rare pieces once associated with the likes of Queen Victoria and James Ward Packard, immersive showcases devoted to grand complications and chiming watches, and the release of seven limited editions, including the new instantaneous perpetual calendar chronograph with aperture displays. A new ladies’ collection will also make its world debut.

Le Large contemporary art centre will open its doors to the public as part of the newly developed Pointe des Arts on Île Seguin, just outside central Paris. Situated on the former site of the Renault factories, the inaugural show Moteur Imaginaire – led by Cecilia Alemani – reflects the site’s symbolic past, exploring the relationship between humans and machines. Half of the 5,000sq m space, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning RCR Architects, is allocated to the premier exhibit, which includes 17 newly commissioned pieces. From 10 October 2026 to 7 March 2027.

In late 2027, A&K Sanctuary will open Samkani Camp on Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat. Composed of five self-sufficient Airstreams, plus another dining and lounge Airstream with its own bar, the design adapts know-how from A&K’s low-impact mobile camps in Africa to provide a luxurious sojourn on the beguiling South American site. Each guest can count on a private guide and driver, and more than thirty activities are available across the Salar. A uniquely up-close-and-personal experience of an incredible, otherworldly landscape.
