It's that time of year again in the northern hemisphere – the mercury is rising, the days are stretching out and school kids are getting antsy. Summer is on its way, bringing the start of the polo season with it. Sporting fans and social spectators alike can look forward to several lively months of well-dressed, well-played matches on pitches across the UK, beginning with two prestigious events in and near London, The St. Regis International Cup and MINT Polo in the Park.

London's Hurlingham Park will also see some action, as this year's MINT Polo in the Park event gears up from June 8th to 10th. Six teams from across the globe will compete in seven matches, with daring stunt displays by The Devil's Horsemen keeping spirits high between games. Each day has its own theme and clientele, as City Friday caters to business types with after work Twilight Polo and corporate entertainment throughout the day, Ladies Day sees socialites pull out all the sartorial stops while sipping top-shelf tipples, and Finals Day invites the family set with games, balloon sculptors and face painters. Don't forget the credit card on any day, though, as the Luxury Village will be peddling everything from art to cars and designer duds throughout the festivities.
