Emirates has announced the opening of a new lounge at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, located near Sri Lanka's commercial capital of Colombo. The new 5,779-square-foot space has been designed and outfitted according to the airline's high-end requirements, providing 118 of its First and Business Class passengers – as well as frequent-flying Gold members – with amenities like a business centre, TV viewing area, dedicated prayer room, shower and washroom facilities, fully stocked bar and outdoor terrace with views of the airstrip. Dining is buffet style and WiFi is available, along with sumptuous leather seating for in- and out-bound travellers.
