10,000-acre Stone Canyon Ranch in California for sale

When US financier George Roberts and his wife, Leanne, went in search of a location to build a home in the 1990s, one of their principle pre-requisites was space – and lots of it. They turned their attention to the San Benito River Valley area of California, and in their Stone Canyon Ranch subsequently created one of the most stylish multi-use properties in the region.

Two decades later, and now up for sale for USD 32 million, it is clear that the couple built a property to exacting standards, with a number of outstanding features that reflect the interests of its owners. Stretching across 10,000 acres of countryside, Stone Canyon Ranch is counted as an equestrian centre of excellence. Indeed, no less was expected from the late Leanne Roberts, an award-winning equestrian expert and horse breeder.
