The latest luxury airline news from the Middle East

After a complete renovation, Gulf Air has re-opened its Falcon Gold Lounge at the Bahrain International Airport. The 1720-sq-ft space now sports contemporary design with an Arabian touch, as well as sweeping views of the runway through a high glass wall. Facilities include seven private sleeping rooms with hi-def TV and wireless headphones, a cigar lounge, shower rooms, separate prayer rooms, a business centre and a self-service buffet. A large family area offers a gaming room for teens and professional SkyNannies to watch the little ones.

Another Middle Eastern carrier also made an announcement, as Abu Dhabi-based luxury flight service provider Royal Jet recently forged a partnership with Eden Luxury Group. In linking up with one of the UK's largest luxury travel companies, which boasts the Eden Collection of high-profile hotels among its exclusive portfolio, Royal Jet plans to expand its bespoke holiday and private jet services. The new offerings are aimed at providing selective travellers with more options in the charter market beginning this summer. Watch this space for future updates.
