Surprise Croatian all-electric hypercar Concept_One

Surprise Croatian all-electric hypercar Concept_One

It can be safely said that, when asked to think of the great supercar nationalities, countries like Italy, America and Germany would be most likely to be the first words out of most people's mouths. Though Croatia could possibly be ranking with those in the lexicon of automotive hallmarks soon.

Rimac Automobili Concept_One

With an incredibly low profile and sleek, swept-back styling, the carbon fibre-sided Concept_One (though no longer a concept, as it once was) claims to fill some impressive boots.

Near Bugatti Veyron-like performance statistics of 0-100kph in 2.8 seconds, and a (limited) top speed of 305kph from 1088HP and 1.6Nm of torque from standing put the Concept_One in a staggering position when the claimed 600km of range are thrown into the equation. That said, we suspect that range would only be achieved from a more civilised pace than top speed from the get-go.

The all electric power train developed by Rimac Automobili is split into four sub-systems, each powering its own wheel that can independently accelerate and decelerate hundreds of times per second. This, matched up with the low centre of gravity, incredibly high torque from zero rpm and lack of gear-shift interruptions, give a completely new driving experience.

Specialists Vilner provide the luxuriously stitched leather interior, designed by a team of former Pininfarina employees.

Other functions of the car have not been neglected, with a high-end infotainment system in place to entertain and inform the driver of the vehicle's systems.

Only 88 models will be produced, so beyond being a blisteringly fast all-electric hyper car, the Concept_One will be extremely limited, too.
